As of today’s list of 7 wonders of the world, Asia holds 2 of the wonders. Great wall of China and the Taj Mahal. The Great wall began building from as early as the 7th century BC and currently stretches 21,196 km (13,170 mi).
Being such a recognisable symbol with a great history no wonder it is such a wonder of the world.
Not only is the Great Wall impressive, but the Taj Mahal is such an admired masterpiece in the world. A shrine to eternal love has a few secrets, first timers to India are sure to want to visit to see for themselves.
They say that as you enter the gates you have the illusion that the Taj should appear larger as you walk closer. This is false, as you get closer the Taj gets smaller. One other shocker is that the two cenotaphs are not the ones that hold Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan. Below at garden level is where the real sarcophagi are in a quiet room.
